All Ashy Ego candles are made with 100% plant-based soy wax, free of any additives or preservatives. Our candles are scented with premium fragrance oils and/or pure essential oils that are non-toxic, paraben and phthalate free, and finished with an eco-friendly, zinc- and lead-free cotton wick. We proudly offer safe and clean burning candles that are of the highest standards in the industry.
Products are packaged and delivered with eco-friendly materials including recyclable packaging and/or biodegradable packing peanuts.
candle care & safety
First burn
On first burn, burn approx. 3-4 hours to reach an almost full wax pool to avoid tunnelling.
Wick Maintenance
- Trim the wick to about 1/4” before each burn to prevent the flame from getting too high.
- For best results, use a long lighter and hold it to the wick for about 5 seconds to properly fuel the flame.
- Remove the dust cover prior to burning, if applicable.
Burning Safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Extinguish all candles when leaving a room.
- Don’t burn a candle near anything flammable (like clothing, books, or curtains).
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
- Keep candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, and air currents.
General Burning Guidelines
- Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Stop burning when about 1/2 inch of wax remains in the container.
